Recreate Your Favorite Meals at Home

April 7th, 2008 by Administrator

Everyone has a favorite meal, whether it is one that mom, or Grandma used to cook for you, or one from a restaurant. Why make it only a special treat, when you have all the tools at your disposal to recreate the meals yourself?

The tools are kitchen appliances, the internet to find a recipe closest to that favorite meal, (or your mom’s or Grandma’s recipe book) and a few hours to experiment and get it right, and wow your family with restaurant standard home cooked food!

This can be applied to simpler meals like pasta, I mean some pasta dishes are divine, and really easy to make, but an extra special ‘wow factor’ would be hand making the pasta, with pasta machines. Not even many restaurants hand make their own pasta!

The same goes for pizza. Why go to a restaurant and say please could you leave this off, and add this instead, when you can create exactly what you want at home (especially with the help of a pizza maker. I mean I go out and have a this amazing Calzone pizza, when I go to my favorite Italian restaurant, but I could easily recreate my own version at home – a quick Google search for ‘Calzone recipe’ has by mouth watering

More complex meals are Indian and Chinese dishes. They are more complex because you need to create a few dishes, to achieve the same effect as going to the restaurant. You could ask your family what their Indian or Chinese favorite meals are beforehand, and make their orders. A rice cooker like the Panasonic Consumer 3.3c Rice Cooker Steamer - SR-G06FG is a great help for cooking the rice, whilst you are doing other things in the kitchen.

I’m not saying you should forego going to restaurants and having meals out, but if ever money is a little tight you can create the same recipes from home, with the right kitchen appliances and recipes.
